Prof. Yu specializes in cerebrovascular diseases, skull base and brain tumors, and craniovertebral junction anomalies. He was the first in China to discover and report a condition he termed "dural venous malformation, " and also the first to report CTassisted diagnosis and treatment of complex craniovertebral junction malformations using C1–C2 direct reduction technology. He has published more than 10 papers in top professional journals, including Neurosurgery and Spine.
