Graduated from Seoul National University in South Korea, he studied under Professor Kyung-Suk Suh, former President of the Korean Association of Liver Surgery and the surgeon who performed the world’s first totally laparoscopic liver transplantation.
He specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of liver transplantation, hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors, hepatic hemangiomas, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatic echinococcosis, complex hepatolithiasis, choledocholithiasis, gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps, hepatic cysts, liver abscesses, acute and chronic pancreatitis and other related diseases. He is proficient in open and complex laparoscopic abdominal surgeries, including individualized precise anatomical resection of hepatic lobe/segment tumors, radical resection of gallbladder cancer, pancreaticoduodenectomy, radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy, and single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
He has presided over and participated in a number of provincial, municipal and university-level research projects. He has published 7 SCI papers and 1 domestic core journal paper.
